Early Bird

So I’ve been thinking lately that my daughter must be going through a growth spurt. Sammi’s been eating like a pig for a couple of weeks! But this usually coincides with her sleeping more. But for about two weeks now, she’s been waking up 30-45 minutes earlier! I sooo love my bed in the morning! I lay there, trying to ignore the yells of “Mommy, get out of bed!” and “I’m starving – can I have a snack?” But, how can I be mad at a face like this?

East Lyme Light Parade 2011

The East Lyme Youth Football Cheerleaders took 2nd place in the Family/Neighborhood division of the Niantic Light Parade on Sunday night. The trophy will be added to the collection from this year’s competition, when all four squads took home a trophy!

This Session Just Blew Me Away!

I thought I would share a great outtake from yesterday’s senior session at Rocky Neck State Park. The wind was horrendous! The three of us (her mom joined us) all had lip balm or gloss on, and when we reached the tunnel under the pavilion we all had sand stuck to our lips! Despite the nasty, unrelenting breeze, the lighting was beautiful and I was able to capture some great images. Erika was a trooper, and even survived a mild splashing from the powerful waves on the beach.

Senior Location Sessions

Due to the spray of salt water on the shoreline, leaves at Rocky Neck State Park are dead or barely hanging on. I do not anticipate shooting to Nov. 2 as I did last year, and I cannot guarantee any fall colors this season.
